While there are multiple Buddhist circuits around the world, I will provide you with an example itinerary for a 6-day tour in India, which covers some of the most renowned Buddhist destinations. Here's a suggested itinerary:

    • Arrive in Delhi, the capital city of India. Spend the day exploring the vibrant city, visiting attractions such as the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, India Gate, and Qutub Minar. Overnight stay in Delhi.
    • Take a morning flight from Delhi to Varanasi, one of the holiest cities in India and a major Buddhist pilgrimage site. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax. In the evening, witness the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti ceremony on the banks of the River Ganges. Overnight stay in Varanasi.
    • Early morning, embark on a boat ride along the River Ganges to witness the sunrise and observe the morning rituals. After breakfast, drive to Bodh Gaya, the place where Gautama Buddha attained enlightenment. Visit the Mahabodhi Temple Complex, including the famous Mahabodhi Tree and the Great Buddha Statue. Explore other important sites such as the Bodhi Tree, the Lotus Tank, and the monasteries. Overnight stay in Bodh Gaya.
    • After breakfast, proceed to Rajgir, an ancient city closely associated with Buddha's life. Visit the Gridhakuta Hill (Vulture's Peak), where Buddha delivered many important discourses. Explore the ruins of Nalanda, one of the oldest universities in the world and a renowned Buddhist learning center. Later, drive to Patna, the capital city of Bihar. Overnight stay in Patna.
    • After breakfast, depart for Vaishali, an important Buddhist pilgrimage site where Buddha preached his last sermon. Visit the Ashokan Pillar, Ananda Stupa, and other significant archaeological sites. Proceed to Kushinagar, the place where Buddha attained Parinirvana (final enlightenment). Visit the Mahaparinirvana Temple and the Kushinagar Museum.Overnight stay in Kushinagar.
    • After breakfast, visit the Ramabhar Stupa and the Mathakuar Shrine. Later, drive to Gorakhpur, the nearest airport, to catch a flight to Delhi.
