Wildlife SOS is an Indian non-profit organization based in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. It was founded in 1995 by a group of individuals dedicated to the protection and conservation of wildlife, particularly Asian elephants and bears. Wildlife SOS operates several wildlife rescue centers across India, including one in Agra.

• Day 1: Wildlife SOS Agra Tour

  The Agra Bear Rescue Facility, managed by Wildlife SOS, is one of their notable projects. It focuses on the rescue and rehabilitation of "dancing bears" that were previously used for street performances or held in captivity for entertainment purposes. These bears are Sloth bears, a species native to the Indian subcontinent.
  Wildlife SOS works towards eliminating the practice of dancing bears and providing a safe and natural environment for them to live in. They rescue these bears from their captors and provide them with medical care, nutrition, and a conducive environment for recovery. The organization also aims to raise awareness about the cruelty involved in exploiting these animals and promotes their conservation in the wild.
  In addition to bears, Wildlife SOS is actively involved in the conservation and welfare of elephants. They have established the Elephant Conservation and Care Center in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, which provides a sanctuary for rescued elephants. The organization focuses on rescuing elephants from abusive conditions, such as circuses, temples, and urban areas, and provides them with lifelong care.
